As of September 2026, the Republic of Moldova is included in the Eurydice interactive diagrams on the structure of education and training systems in Europe. Alongside Georgia and Ukraine, Moldova is one of the three new countries included in this edition of the Eurydice tool.
The update presents the structure of education systems for the 2026/2027 school and academic year and enables users to compare them through interactive diagrams.
The tool currently covers 42 education systems across 40 countries participating in the Eurydice Network.
The diagrams display the most representative mainstream formal education programmes in each education system. The two separate diagrams cover the following education levels:
- Early childhood and school education:
- early childhood education and care (ECEC), from the youngest age of enrolment (non-ISCED ECEC, ISCED 0);
- primary and secondary education programmes (ISCED 1–3);
- post-secondary non-tertiary programmes (ISCED 4).
- Tertiary education (ISCED 5–8).
The inclusion of the Republic of Moldova in this platform provides a new opportunity to visualise and compare the structure of the national education system with other European education systems, contributing to access to relevant comparative information for researchers, policymakers, education professionals and the wider public.
