
On 20 December 2024, the National Erasmus+ Office in Moldova, together with the Ministry of Education and Research, organised the online seminar “Enhancing Graduate Employability Tracking in Moldova”. The event was hosted by Prof. Stéphanie Deveze from the University of Montpellier, Head of Cabinet of the Rector responsible for Higher Education, Research and Innovation in the Occitanie region, France.
The seminar began with a presentation by the expert, highlighting the methods by which universities can better respond to labor market demands and the benefits of monitoring graduate employability.
Subsequently, the discussions focused on:
- analysis of the legislative framework and practices at European level to support an effective employability tracking system;
- developing a more integrative role for universities, involving the reform of management processes to support graduates in building their careers;
- creating an ecosystem at the institutional level, with a focus on the development of career centers, to support both the monitoring and professional guidance of graduates.
This seminar was organised as part of the activities of the Higher Education Reform Experts (HERE) within the Erasmus+ Programme, with the support of the SPHERE Consortium and the European University Association (EUA).
The event brought together over 100 representatives of universities, education authorities and vocational education institutions, offering perspectives and practical solutions for aligning education with current labor market requirements.
