Online seminar: Erasmus+ opportunities for VET institutions from the Republic of Moldova

On 5 December 2024, the National Erasmus+ Office in Moldova, in cooperation with OeAD Chisinau and the Ministry of Education and Research, organised an online seminar addressed to vocational education and training (VET) institutions in the Republic of Moldova. This event was a follow-up to the workshop from 2-3 October 2024, entitled “Effective strategies for identifying partners”, organised to support VET institutions in developing international partnerships and accessing Erasmus+ funds.

During the event, expert Karin Luomi-Messerer (Austria), presented the vocational education system in Austria, highlighting good practices and lessons learned that can serve as a source of inspiration for institutions in the Republic of Moldova. Afterwards, the National Erasmus+ Office in Moldova detailed the opportunities offered under the new Erasmus+ 2025 call for capacity building projects in the field of VET, explaining how Moldovan institutions can participate in these projects. Dr. Heinrich Pingel (Germany) provided a practical perspective on the steps needed to set up an Erasmus+ project, and Dr. Georg Müllner (Austria) detailed the selection criteria that ensure the success of an application.

This seminar, organised as a continuation of the discussions and topics addressed in October, had as its main objective to provide concrete support to VET institutions from the Republic of Moldova in the process of internationalisation and modernisation, through participation in Erasmus+ projects.
