The Launch of the Erasmus+ National Info Campaign with an event dedicated to students

National Erasmus+ Office in Moldova has launched the information campaign, the 2022 edition, with an event dedicated exclusively to students from the universities in the Republic of Moldova. Thus, the first event within the Erasmus+ info campaign took place on November 24, at the Technical University of Moldova. The event was organized with the support of the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova and the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova.

During this information session, young people studying at higher education institutions from our country were informed in detail about the Erasmus+ opportunities available to them, and namely about:

  • international credit mobility projects - which allow students enrolled at Moldovan universities to obtain scholarships during academic exchanges at European universities;
  • Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters – Master's degree programs of excellence, developed by consortia of universities from all over the world;
  • opportunities for young people within the Erasmus+ programme – international trainings, volunteering projects, etc.

The National Erasmus+ Office team have explained to event participants how to apply for an Erasmus+ scholarship, what the deadlines and the eligibility conditions are. Also, the representatives of the Info Center for Erasmus+ Youth and European Solidarity Corps told about youth exchanges in non-formal education trainings, but also about the possibilities to participate at volunteering projects lasting up to one year in Europe. Students from the Technical University of Moldova have also presented there inspirational experiences during their Erasmus+ mobilities at European universities and how they contributed to their personal and professional growth.

The annual information campaign, organized by the National Erasmus+ Office in Moldova, aims to present the opportunities of the Erasmus+ Programme among students and academic staff in the Republic of Moldova, as well as to promote the internationalization of studies, mobility and exchange of experience for students and teachers.

On December 7, the Erasmus+ 2022 info campaign will continue with an information session for academics at Clasa Viitorului - "Ion Creangă" State Pedagogical University. Later, information events for both students and academics will be held at several universities, but also institutions in the field of vocational education and training in the country, in order to promote the diversity of the programme's opportunities for beneficiaries from the Republic of Moldova.

The Erasmus+ Information Campaign started together with the launch of the new Erasmus+ call for proposals and the 2023 Erasmus+ Programme Guide, which will pave the way for new projects in the field of education, youth and sport in the Republic of Moldova and around the world. With a total budget of 4.2 billion euros for the year 2023, the Erasmus+ programme aims to continuously support inclusion, digitalization, green technologies, active citizenship and a more dynamic participation in democratic life.
