Information session: Erasmus+ opportunities for VET institutions from Moldova

The National Erasmus+ Office in Moldova, in collaboration with the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova, the Ministry of Education and Research from the Republic of Moldova and the National Agency for Community Programmes in the Field of Education and Vocational Training from Romania (ANPCDEFP) organized, on March 16, 2023, an online Info Session for Vocational Education and Training (VET) institutions from the Republic of Moldova on the opportunities of the Erasmus+ Programme.

The new framework of the Erasmus+ Programme 2021-2027 has opened opportunities for vocational education and training institutions from the Republic of Moldova. Thus, they can participate in Capacity Building in the field of Vocational Education and Training projects (CBVET), but also in Erasmus+ International Credit Mobilities.

During the information session, the National Erasmus+ Office in Moldova presented, on the one hand, general information about the international dimension of the Erasmus+ Programme and about the projects for which institutions from the Republic of Moldova are eligible, as a third country not associated with the programme. Also, the ANPCDEFP representative, Nadia Lisac, presented the Erasmus+ opportunities for VET institutions from the Republic of Moldova, based on Romania's experience as an EU member country associated with the programme, but also the perspectives of collaboration for organisations from the two countries.

It is important to mention that the Erasmus+ call for proposals 2022 designated two winning CBVET projects, which include institutions from the Republic of Moldova in their consortia. These capacity building projects envisage international cooperation actions, based on multilateral partnerships between organisations active in the field of vocational education and training in the countries associated to the Erasmus+ Programe (EU states, Iceland, North Macedonia, Turkey, Norway, Serbia and Liechtenstein) and from third countries that are not associated with the Programme, such as the Republic of Moldova. They aim to support the relevance, accessibility and adaptability of vocational education and training institutions in third countries not associated to the programme as a driver of sustainable socio-economic development.
