The Institute of Physical Education and Sport hosted the official launch event of Romania–Moldova ACT! (ACT RISE) project—an Erasmus+ capacity building action in the field of sport, carried out in partnership by organisations from Romania, the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, and Germany.
The project is coordinated by the National Agency for Sport from Romania and brings together, as partners from the Republic of Moldova, the SPORTER Sports Club and the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova. At the international level, the project benefits from the expertise of the German sport organisation TAFISA, as well as the Ukrainian partner, All Ukrainian Center for Physical Health of the Population “Sports for All”.
The project aims to raise awareness of the importance of sport and physical activity for all. It goes beyond personnel training, encompassing the development of new methodologies, online training materials, joint multiplier sport events, public policy advocacy handbooks, and more. Through this initiative, staff from partner organisations will have the opportunity to take part in joint international activities and develop regional collaborations through sport-based initiatives. The training methodology developed within the ACT RISE project will be piloted with around 200 participants in offline sessions and at least 500 participants from partner and other neighbouring countries—such as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Poland, and Hungary—who will join online seminars.
The launch event brought together officials from the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova, representatives of the National Agency for Sport from Romania and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, alongside sports federations, relevant institutions, coaches, athletes, and physical education experts.
