A new Coordinator, Mrs. Claudia Melinte, has been appointed as of 1/4/2016 to manage the National Erasmus+ Office, following the resignation of Mrs. Virginia Revenco.
The European Agency for Culture, Education and Audiovisual (EACEA), the European Commission, the EU Delegation in Moldova and the Moldovan Ministry of Education decided to use the reserve list established in August 2014 for the following reasons:
- Mrs. Revenco only stayed in position just over one year, and announced her departure 2 months before she left. A replacement therefore had to be recruited urgently in order to ensure a proper handover.
- The vacancy published in 2014, which had led to the recruitment of the previous NEO Coordinator Mrs. Revenco, was meant to fill in the position of NEO Coordinator for Moldova from 2015 until 2020.
- The 2014 selection process was conducted in a transparent way by a Panel made of representatives from the EACEA Agency, the EU Delegation in Chisinau and the Moldovan Ministry of Education. There were many excellent applications, enough to make a reserve list.
Mrs. Claudia Melinte was number 1 on that reserve list and was thus offered the position of NEO Coordinator.
