Moldovan universities, informed about Erasmus+ opportunities

National Erasmus+ Office (NEO) in Moldova organized an “Information Day”, dedicated to Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), in the context of the 2016 Call for Proposals launching within Erasmus+, EU’s Programme for Education, Training, Youth and Sport. Organized at Moldova State University, the event gathered around 60 people representing 16 universities from Moldova that were interested to find out about available opportunities for Moldovan HEIs with Erasmus+.

One of the guests of the event, Danielle Keulen, the representative of EU Delegation in Moldova, encouraged universities’ representatives to benefit as much as they can from Programme’s opportunities in higher education. In the context, the vice-minister for Education, Ion Siscanu, appreciated EU’s commitment in developing the sector of education.

Financing possibilities within Erasmus+, application procedures stated in the new Call for Proposals, eligibility criteria and rules for writing the application – all these were presented by NEO Moldova team, France Dantin, project manager at the Excutive Agency for Culture, Education and Audiovisual (Brussels) and Ludmila Pavlov, head of International Relations of the Ministry of Education.

As many of the Moldovan HEIs have already set, during the last years, partnerships with universities from Romania, the experience and good practices were presented by Nicoleta Popa, expert with Erasmus+ Agency in Bucharest.

Also, the public had the possibility to find out about possible partnerships with the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) and German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and interact directly with organizations’ representatives.

Similar “Information Day” will be organized for universitite in Balti and Cahul, during the month of November.

The presentations of the Erasmus+ actions (those open for Moldovan universities), as well as presentations of other details of the 2015 Call for Proposals, made during the event, can be seen here (those marked with the mention “Apel 2015”).
