International Academic Mobility management improvement - a boost for HEIs Internationalisation

The National Erasmus+ Office has organised on Thursday, November 16, a Technical Assistance Mission on the International Academic Mobility management improvement and its role in boosting HEIs Internationalisation.

In her opening speech, Mrs Ludmila Pavlov, Deputy Head of Division for analysis, monitoring and evaluation of policies within the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Research, has highlighted the support of the Ministry for the projects and programmes which offer academic mobility opportunities, whereas they imply a bigger participation of the universities at the internationalisation process, one of the Bologna Process objectives is  that to 2020, 20% of the students population to be mobile.

Likewise, Fabien Schaeffer, Programme Officer for education, culture, and youth at the EU Delegation to Chisinau, mentioned that the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) from Moldova could cumulate their capacities in organizing effective international relations.

The informative-applicative session has been moderated by Dr. Filippo Sartor, Head of the International Professional Projects and Cooperation Development at extra-European level Department, University of Bologna, Italy. The dialogue was focused on the importance of the international relations for the HEIs, organisation of the international academic mobilities in European and Moldovan HEIs, the role of the mobilities in the internationalisation of the education system and credits and marks recognition methodologies, being offered the example of some Italian, Spanish and French HEIs.

The event has been organized by the National Erasmus+ office with the support of the SPHERE (Support and Promotion for Higher Education Reform Experts), EU Delegation to the Republic of Moldova, Ministry of Education, Culture, and Research and was held at the State University of the Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemitanu”.

The topic of the event was chosen in collaboration with the Higher Education Reform Experts in Moldova team.
